You can be as relaxed as you wish.
The tooth with the large filling was becoming sensitive. It had what looked like a small fracture. As the filling was removed and following the crack, the crack led straight to the nerve and blood vessels inside the tooth.( The red line is drawn to follow the fracture ) This made it necessary to treat the tooth by performing a Root Canal, Buildup, and crown. Even with all this treatment, there is a question that the tooth may not be saved.
We do not leave a tooth with a big filling like this. A crown is placed before there is a chance of the tooth starting to crack like this. We also adjust and make sure the bite is correct to avoid breaking.
