This is our orthodontist who called last night and said a filling
came out and was very irritating to his tongue. We met him at 7:30 AM to
fix it. Both of us had patients to see at 8:00. My 2 very capable
assistants helped me complete this crown procedure in about 30 minutes.
We were both seeing our patients just a few minutes after 8. The purpose
of this is to say that every part on the procedure from giving the
anesthetic to adjusting the bite on the temp and cleaning up the dycal
around the temporary crown was done under the microscope.
When you become skilled with the microscope ( and I ain't really
there yet ), in most cases it will speed you up, except that you keep
trying to get everything so perfect when you see so well. Your dental
skills will need to improve.
I also don't have the skills or camera equipment to get great photos
like many of you, such as Dr. Glenn van As, are getting, but anyone
using a microscope will realize what I am seeing in the trenches with
the Microscope are fantastic views..
